Color Editing

Aging your Photos

This is an editing technique, which will allow you to convert your color snaps into black and white ones. You may be wondering why anyone would want to do this. However, changing a color photo to black and white can completely change the way the picture appears, as well as giving the photo an almost nostalgic and timeless appearance.

An additional way to add a touch of nostalgia to your photos, especially if you are not a fan of black and white, is to add a sepia tint to your photos. A sepia tint will give your photos a dull brown appearance, and is something that used to happen to photos in the very early days of photography, when the photo became old and exposed to too much air and light.

Other Fun Photo Effects

There are other effects that you can add to your photos in order to give them a completely new appearance. One such effect is to give your photos an appearance that makes them look as though they have been hand painted on to canvass. Now, to do this in real life would mean employing the services of a professional artist who could take your photo and recreate it in oil or water color paints, however, thanks to modern day photo editing techniques, it is now possible to achieve the same effect with a couple of clicks of a computer mouse.

Similarly, you can also alter your photos to give them the appearance that they have been hand drawn in pencil. This is a great editing technique, but is not as much fun as the next one. Cartoonizing your photos is a great way to add a touch of fun and humor to your photos. By making use of this technique, you can add cartoon effects and even speech bubbles to the picture, for some hilariously funny results.
As you can see, these are just some of the ways in which you can use color editing to improve or totally change the appearance of your photos.
